Jag lyfter mina händer

Jag lyfter mina händer upp till Guds berg och hus,
Från dem hjälpen sänder och skickar ut sitt ljus.
Mig Herren alltid leder , som jord och himmel gjört.
Han hör mig när jag beder och skyddar mig allt fort.

Han låter mina fötter ej slinta, ty han är en väktare
ej trötter och blir mig alltid när.
Han nådigt mig bevarar och skyddar mig från fall,
mig dag och natt försvarar, välsignar oc mitt kall.

Allt ont han från mig vänder och frälsar kropp och själ.
Vad än som här mig händer så slutardet dock väl.
Min utgång han bevarar, min ingång likasa.
Sin nåd Gud aldrig sparar för dem med honom stå.

Ljus av ljus, o morgonstjärna

Ljus av ljus, o morgon stjärna, Kristus, sanna sol och dag,
nu ser vi den solen gärna framgå efter ditt behag,
som med rosen strålars färg målar himmel,
hav och berg, morgon över jorden tänder och till dagens varv oss sänder.

Låt din Andes morgonstrimma skina i vår mörka själ.
Låt oss i ditt ljus förnimma vad so är vårt sanna väl.
En beständig tro oss giv och det ondas makt fördriv.
Kraft och glädje oss förläna att din goda vilja tjäna.

Styrk din kyrkas svaga skara med din gyllne fridens band
och för allting ont bevara hus och hem och fosterland.
Avvärj tvedräkt, split och strid , Övervåld och skräck förjaga
och i mildhet oss ledsaga.

Låt vår lampas olja brinna när du dömer världen vid.
Låt oss rätta vägen fina denna korta vandringstid,
att vi genom sorgens dal tiil din ljusa fröjdesal
och vårt rätta hem kan föras .

För att du inte tog det gudomliga dig till en krona,
för att du välde smälek och fattigdom, vet vi vem Gud är.

För att du lydde fram till det yttersta döden på korset,
vet vi vad seger, vet vi vad väldighet,
vet vi vad Gud är,

För att du nedsteg hitt till det plågade,
hit till det dömda , vet vi att ingen ensamhet finns mer,
vet vi vad Gud är.

Därför skall alla sargade döende,
alla det dömda , säga med alla heliga, saliga:
Jesus är Herre.

Därför skall alla världar och varelser ,
allt som har varit , är och skall komma,
en dag bekänna det:
Jesus är Herre.

Prepare to meet your God

Gods people have no idols

Not to us , O Lord , not to us
but to your name be the glory,
for the sake of your love and faithfulness.
Why should the pagans say.
Where is their God ?

There in heaven is our God ;
Whatever he wishes, he does.
Not so the handmade idols,
crafted in silver and gold.

They have mouth that cannot speak,
eyes that cannot see,
ears that cannot hear,
noses that cannot smell.

They have hands but cannot feel,
feet, but cannot walk;
neither can they make a sound in their throat.
so will all who trust in them.

O Israel, trust in the Lord ;
he is your help and your shield!
You who fear in the Lord trust in him;
he is your help and your shield!

The Lord remembers us and bless us;
He will bless those who fear  the Lord,
both the small and the great.

Heaven belongs to the Lord,
But the earth he has given to humans,
It is not the dead who praise the Lord,
for they have gone down to silence;
but it is we , the living, who blessed the Lord,
from now on and forever.

God creates, save and guide us

I thank the Lord with all my heart in the council of the just , in the assembly.
The works of the Lord is great and pondered by all who delight in them.
Glorious and magestic are his deeds, his righteousness endures forever .
He lets us remember his wondrous deeds; and the Lord is merciful and kind.

Always mindful of his covenant, he provides food for those who fear him.
He shows his people the power of his arm by giving them the lands of other nations.
The works of his hands are faithful and just,
trustworthy are all his precepts, ordained to last forever, bearers of the truth and uprightness.

He has sent his people deliverances and made with them a covenant forever.
 His holy name is to be revered !
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom ; prudent are those who lives by his precepts .
To him belongs and everlasting praise. Allelluia!

I prayed and wisdom was given to me

I prayed and understanding was given to me; I asked earnestly and the spirit of wisdom came to me.
I preferred her to scepters and thrones and i will considered wealth as nothing compared with her.
I prefered her to any jewel of inestimable value, since gold beside her is nothing but a few grains of sand, and silver but mud. I loved her more than wealth and beauty and even freferred her to light , because her radiance never dies. She brought with her all other good things , untold riches in her hands . I rejoiced att all that came with Wisdom without knowing she was thier mother.
What i learn without self - interest I share freely and with no desire to conceal her value ; for she is an inexhaustible treasure for man and those who posses her have gained the friendship of God , commended to him by the fruits of her discipline.
May God grant me to speak with discernment and reflect in a way worthy of the gifts I have received, for he is the guide of Wisdom and directs wise men. For we are in God`s hands, we ourselves, our words, our understanding and technical knowledge.
He, in fact, has given me true knowledge of what is the world and the properties of the elements, the beginning, the end and the times in between; the alternation of the solstices and the succession of the seasons; the cycles of the year and the positions; the natures of animal species and the ways of wild beasts; the power of spirit and human reasoning ; the varieties of plants and medicinal properties of roots.

All the earth acclaim the Lord

All you lands, acclaim the Lord!
Serve the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God; he created us and we are his people ; the ship of his fold.
Enter his praise with thanksgiving , his courts with praise .
 Give thanks tonhim and praise his name .
For the lord is good; his love lasts forever  and his faithfulness through all generations.

Our days pass like a sight

Lord, you have been our refuge through all generation.
Before the mountains were formed,
from eternity through eternity- you are God.
You turn human back to dust , saying,
"Return; O mortals!"
A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has passed, or like a watch in the night.
You sow them in their time, at dawn they peep out . In the morning they blossom, but the flower fades and withers in the evening.
Your fury consumes us like fire , and we are helpless before your anger .
Our evils lie before you who scrutinize our hidden sins.
Our days pass away in your wrath, our years are gone in no time.
Seventy years to our life or eighty if we are strong , yet most of them are sorrow and trouble; speeding by , they sweep us along .
Who knows the extent of your anger ? Who has seen the end of your wrath?
So make us know the shortness of our life, that we may gain wisdom of heart.
How long you will be angry, O Lord?
Have mercy on your servant.
Fill us at daybreak with your goodness, that we may be glad all our days .
Make joy endure as the misery did,
and the years in which we were afflicted .
Let your work be seen by your servants and your glorious power by their children .
May the sweetness of the Lord be upon us,may he prosper the work of our hands.

Night Prayer

You who dwell in the shelter of the Most High,
who rest in the shadows of the Almighty,
Say to the Lord " My stronghold, my refuge, my God in whom I trust"
He will rescue you from the fowler`s snare
and from the deadly pestilence,
He will cover you with his pinions
and give you refuge under his wings.

You shall not fear the terror of the night
not the arrows that fly by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks by night,
and the plague that destroys at noonday,

A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand ,
but nothing shall befall you ,
his faitfulness is your shield.
Open your eyes ;
you will see how the wicked are repaid.

If you have maid the Lord your refuge ,
the Most High your stronghold,
no harm will come upon you
no disaster will draw near your home.

For he will command his angels
to guard you in all your ways ,
They will lift you up with their hands
so that your foot will not hit a stone.

You will tread on wildcats and snakes
and trample the lion and the dragon.
"Because they cling to me , I will rescue them"  
says the Lord.
" I will protect those who know my name.

When they call to me, I will answer;

Without respect for neighboor without respect for God

The fool says in his heart
"God does not exist "
All have strayed , all are perverted,
there is no one who does good.

The Lord looks down from heaven
upon the race of Adam,
to see if there any
who seek God and act wisely.
They have turn all aside :
corrupt- all of them alike
Will they ever learn - these doers of evil?
For they devour my people ,
that is their food -
and do not call upon the Lord.

But suddenly terror strikes them:
God was on the side of the just!
You may confound the hope of the poor,
But the Lord is there refuge.

Oh would that i see
Israel salvation coming from Zion!
When the Lord brings home the exiles,
what joy it will be for Jacob,
What happen for Israel!

Give thanks to the Lord

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, his love indures forever.
2 Who can count the Lord`s mighty deeds, or declare all his praises?
3 Blessed are they who always do just right.
4 Remember me, O Lord when you show favor to your people , rescue me when you deliver them,
5 let me see the triumph of your faithful, let me share the joy of your nation , and join your people in praising you.
6 We have sin like our ancestor; we have done wrong and acted wickedly .
7 Our ancestors had no regard of your wondrousdeeds; they forgot the abundance of your love ;
they rebelled againts the most high by the Sea of Reeds.
8 Yet he save them for his name sake , to make his mighty power known.
9 He rebuked the sea , and it dried up, he led them through the deep as on dry land.
10 He save them from hostility , freeing them from hand of enemy.
11 Waters covered their pursuers , and none of them was left alive,
12 Then they believe his promises and all at once sing his praises.
13 But soon they forgot his works and did not wait for his counsel.
14 They give way to wanton craving and tempted God in desert.
15 He give them what they wanted, then sent them a wasting disease.
16 In the camp they grew invious of Moses and Aaron , the Holy one of the Lord.
17 So the earth opened and buried the company of abiram.
18fire broke out against them , burning up the wicked.
19 They made  a calf at Horeb and worship the molten image .
20 They exchange the glory of God for the image of a bull that eats grass .
21 They forgot their savior God ,who have done great things.
22 Wonderful works in the land and awesome deeds.
23 So he spokes of didtroying them , but Moses , his chosen one, stood in the breach before him to shield them from destruction.
24 Yet they dispite the promised land, for they had no faith in his word.
25 They grumbled in their tents and would not listen to the voice of the Lord.
26 So he worsed to them with his hand raised that he would let them perish in the desert ,
27 scatter their descendants among the nations and disperse them over the lands.
28 They joined the rites and ate sacrifices to lifeless gods.
29 Their deeds provoked the Lord to anger , and a plague broke out among them .
30 But Phinebas stood up and intervened and the plague come to and end.
31 This was credited to his uprightness  , making him remembered for all ages.
32 Anger by them at Meribahs , the Lord took in out on Moses.
33 For the rash words he uttered , when they rebelled againts God.
34 They dared not destroy the pagans, as the Lord commanded .
35 They mingled with these nations and learn to do as they did .
36 In serving the idols of the pagans, they were trapped
36 into sacrificing  chidren to demons
38 shedding the innocent blood of their sons and daughters to the idols of Canaan , polluting the country with blood .
39 They defiled themselves by what they did, playing the harlot  in their worship.
40 The anger of the Lord grew intense and he abborred his inheritance .
41 He handed them over to the nations , and their foes ruled them with arrogance .
42 Brought by the enemy  into subjection, they suffred the agony of oppresions.
43 He delivered them but they went on defying him and sinking deeper into their sin.
44 But he heared their cry of affliction and looked on them with compassion .
45 Remembering his covenant , he relented for their sake , because of his great love.
46 He let them be pitied by all those who held them captive.
47 Save us O Lord our God gather us from among the nations , that way may give thanks to you and praised your holy name .
48 Blessed the Lord , God of Israel , from eternity to eternity . Let all the people say , "Amen" Praised the Lord!

Psalm7

O Lord in you i take shelter ; deliver me and save me from all my pursuers,
 3 lest lions tear me to peices with no one to rescue me.
 4 Oh Lord, my God, if my hands are stained with guilt ,
5 if with evil i have repaid good , if i have plundered unjustly my opponent,
6 let the enemy hound me , let him crush me to the ground and lay down my glory in the dust .
7 Arise oh Lord , in your wrath ; rise up against the fury of my foes . Awake, O my God and judged the nations   , for the time of judgement has come.
8 Let the nations gather around you ; and you take yourself high above them.

 1 Låt dina ord stärker den sunda läran. 2 Säg till äldre män för att vara nykter,allvarlig, kloka ljud i tron,
kärlek och uthållighet.
 3 De äldre kvinnorna på samma sätt måste uppträda som det anstår heliga kvinnor, inte ges till skvallrat eller
dricka vin   4 men lika bra som rådgivare, kunna undervisa yngre kvinnor att älska sin man och barn 5  att bara förnuftig och ren, att ta hand om hushållet, att vara snäll och undergiven till deras män, så att vår tro bli attackerad. 6 Uppmuntra unga män att vara själv kontrollerade. 7 Satte dem med gott exempel genom eget sätt att göra .Låt din undervisning vara allvar och uppriktiga 8 och din förkunnelse klanderfri. Då dina motståndare kommer att skämmas och kommer att ha något att kritisera.
  Lär slavar att omfattas av deras herrar, och ge tillfredsställelse i varje avseenden, i stället för att argumentera. 10 Det får inte stjäla från dem men för att vara trovärdig. På detta sätt kommer de att dra alla att beundra läran av Gud vår frälsare.
  11 För  Gud Frälsaren har uppenbarat hans kärleksfulla plan för alla, 12 lära oss att förkasta en gudslös sätt av liv och världsliga girighet, och att leva i denna värld som ansvarig personer, upprätt och tjäna Gud,
   13 Medan vi väntar på vår välsignade hopp- den härliga manifestation av våra stora Gud och frälsare Jesus  Kristus. 14 Han ger sig själv för oss, att återlösa oss från allt ont och att rena ett folk han ville bli sen egen och tillägnad de goda.
15 Lär dessa saker uppmuntra och tillrättavisa med all myndighet. Låt ingen förakta dig.

Vi sparas genom tron

 Det är tydligt skrivet att ingen blir rättfärdiga, i Gudar sätt, Lagen; genom tro det rättfärdiga ska leva.
  Men lagen ger ingen plats att tro, för enligt det, den som uppfyller buden ska ha liv genom dem.
  Nu Kristus räddade oss från kursen av lagen blir förbannade sig själv för vår skull, som det står skrivet;
det finns en förbannelse över alla som är hängd i ett träd. Så välsignelse beviljas till Abraham nå de hedniska
nationerna i och med Kristus och vi fick löftet anda genom tro.

Be rörda för andra

 Jag ber dig innerligt älskade, genom Gods nåd, ge dig själv som levande och helig uppoffring behagar God;

sådan är dyrkan av en rationell varelse låt inte er formas av värden där du bor, utan snarare omvandlas genom förnyelse av ditt sinne. Du måste urskilja Guds vilja: vad som är bra, Vad behagar, vad som är perfekt.

Dit finns ingen annan evangelium

 Jag är förvånad över hur snabbt du har övergett Gud som kallade dig enligt Kristi nåd,
och har gått till ett annat evangelium, Det råder inget annan evangelium, men visa människor som är sådd
förviring bland du vill vrid Kristi evangelium upp och ner.
 

Oroa dig inte

 Jesus sade till sina lärjungar ; jag säger att du inte oroa dig av ditt liv,
vad ska vi äta; or om din kropp; vad ska vi ha; för livet är mer än maten och kroppen;
Titta på kråkorna de varken sår eller reapy; de har inga bodar och inga lador; Men God föder
dem; hur mycket viktigare är du än fåglar! Vilka av er för all oroande kan lägga in stund för ditt livscykeln.?
Och om du inte kan kontrollera så liten sak. Varför oroa dig om resten.
 

Sing a new song to the Lord

 Sing  to the Lord a new song, for he has done wonders;
his right hand ; his holy arm, has won victory för him.
 The Lord has shown his salvation, revealing his justice to the nation,
 He has not forgotten his love nor his faithfulness to Israel.To the farthest ends of the earth
all have seen Gods saving power.
 All you lands, make a joyful noiseto the Lord,
break into song and sing praise, with melody of the lyre and with music of the harp.
 With trumpet blast and sound of the horn, rejoice before the King , the Lord.
 Let the sea resound and everything in it , the word and all its people.
  Let rivers clap their hands, hills and mountains sing with joy , before the Lord,
for he comes to rule the earth .He will jugde the word with justice and the people with fairness.

The Lord shower his blessings upon you

 Bless the Lord , my soul, all my being ,

The universe praise its creator

In contemplating the universe , the believer feels full of admiration and optimism .
All comes from God, and this universe is also for humankind.
God is now completing his creation through the work of humans and the radiant light of his witnesses .

Psalm 97

We often find its hard to share enthusiasm and joy of the psalmist who sees so clearly the divided between the good  and the wicked.

We rather see the word cover by a fog where its one has its own excuses and share of wickedness .
The confusion is temporary, however there is good seeds and there are weeds, and each one goes towards what he prefers. God hates evil as much as he loves himself, and what cannot retun to God should be distroyed.

Our days pass like a sight

Our earthly life is short and frail before the face of the eternal God,
He is our refuge  and can give meaning to our existence.
Let us ask him to fill with wisdom, which is to love him,

Prayer of a just person when persecuted

 O lord attack those who attack me

IT is not posible to believe in God
